5K Tech Named a ChannelPro Top 20 MSP for 2026

5K Technical Services (5K Tech) has been named one of ChannelPro's Top 20 MSPs for 2026, placing the Allen, Texas provider among a short list of managed service providers recognized across the IT channel.

The recognition arrives as 5K Tech reaches 20 years in business.

"I started 5K Tech 20 years ago with a simple idea," said Corey L. Kirkendoll, President & CEO. "Small and midsized businesses should have access to the same level of technology and security as big companies, without the big company price tag. That has not changed. What has changed is how much businesses depend on technology to grow."

Planning Three to Five Years Out

5K Tech was built to do more than respond to outages. The firm works with clients on three to five year technology roadmaps, mapping where the business is headed and what infrastructure and security it will need to get there.

"We never wanted to be the IT company that just shows up when something breaks," Kirkendoll said. "We help clients think through where the business is going, what technology they will need, and how to keep IT from becoming the thing that slows them down."

Humanizing IT is the company tagline, and it sets three expectations clients can hold 5K Tech to: plain English instead of tech jargon, pricing they can plan around, and accountability when something does not go the way it should.

Two of those are measurable. Response times run under five minutes, and client satisfaction has held at 99% for the past two years.

The third shows up on harder days.

"One of our clients put it better than I ever could," Kirkendoll said. "They told us they do not judge a partner by whether everything is perfect. They judge them by how they respond when something goes wrong. That is the standard I want 5K Tech held to, every day."
